Today we are a living history of our past choices. Did they include God?

The peace that comes from having faith in the all-powerful creator contrasts starkly with the uncertainty of placing trust in the creation of one’s own destiny.

God created for us the blessing of choice.  Satan created for us the curse of confusion. (Genesis 3)

We are blinded to our blessings through perceptions of unfulfilled desires. (Hebrews 13:5; 1 Timothy 6:9, 10)

Wherever I am going, God already has me there. My job is to follow God’s will to find my way. (Psalms 139; 1 Peter 4:1,2)

Bad wisdom is worldly, Good wisdom is simply God’s love. (Proverbs 8:22-36; Job 28:28; James 3:13-17)

My emotions are a thorn and a blessing. They place me in a perpetual state of surreal conflict, a realm from which the outcome is dictated by the loudest voice of God or the devil. [not literal voice, of course]  (James 4:1-7)

Recognition of our lord’s voice comes through practice in hearing it. And practice in hearing it comes through meditation on God’s scriptures. [not literal voice, of course]  (Psalms 119:9-6)

Forever is a point in time. Now is an eternity. God is in both.  ((Revelation 1:8; Psalms 90:4; 2 Peter 3:8)

Our love for others cannot extend beyond our love for God. How close we get the two depends on how far our love for God extends.  (Matthew 22:37-39; 1 John 4:7-21)

When we feel beaten and think we can’t go on, God makes us take another step.  (Psalms 94:17, 18; Ecclesiastes 7:14; 1 Peter 5:10)

A silent prayer to God is heard louder than a fervent prayer to man.  (Matthew 6:5-6)

God made a perfect world. My neighbor’s imperfections are counter-balanced by imperfections of my own.  (Deuteronomy 32:3-4; John 8:7; Ecclesiastes 7:20)

The wicked live their lives through paranoia. Their hardened hearts tune out good deeds leaving tattered lives behind. Have compassion on their self-destructing souls.  (Isaiah 57:20-21; Matthew 5:43-45)
